Lots happening

I have eyes staring at me now.

I had the flu last week and am on antiobiotics now so am not doing much except resting and stitching.  DD and DS are back at school after 2 weeks holidays.  They finish in 8/9 weeks then have summer holidays until late January.  DH came home last night and is off to Houston and Vancouver this morning and will be back Friday week.  The Commonwealth games have started so I can watch at night and stitch.  DD's swimming teacher is competing in lots of events and won a silver last night in her first event.  Go Emily!

We are going away on holidays in January.  I paid for the plane tickets yesterday.  We're going to Vancouver (DH can do some work while we are there) and spending some time skiing before stopping in LA for a few days on the way home.  DH is the only one who has ever seen snow.  Are we crazy going from a summer Brisbane to Canada in January?  I was going to buy some winter clothes over there because we can't get warm winter clothes in this part of Australia - anything below 10C is unusually cold here.

Looking good, I would get some of those clothes now, airports can be cold and any clothes are expensive.

Great looking WIP!
You don't need heavy, winter clothes for Vancouver and not likely you will see snow there. If you planning to go skiing, go to Whistler - just couple hours north. That will give you a chance to see the Sea to Sky highway with great scenery. I use to live in Lions Bay, just 15 minutes drive north from Vancouver. I know you will have a great time!
